Your visual biographer through life’s sweetest chapters.

I’ve captured hundreds of love stories. Not with a pen, but with my lens.

Hi, sweet friend.

My name is Vera, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a follower of Jesus, a wife, a mother, and a full-time lifestyle and family photographer - but that’s just scratching the surface. I’m also a hopeful romantic and lover of literature and everything homemade. I preserve moments in the same gentle way one presses flowers, because it’s only through photos that we can relive what we never want to forget.

I come from a family of artists. My mother had her paintbrushes, my sister had her charcoal, and I had…my camera.  I took ever-so-many pictures as a teen, because I felt that creative pull. The first few years of self-taught techniques were full of disposable cameras, a few decent shots, and lots of wasted film. When I finally purchased my first DSLR (graduating from the standard point-and-shoot), something clicked, and not just my shutter. I’d found what I loved, that initial interest growing into a full-blown passion.

I don’t do it for recognition-I do it because I love it. It’s my way of serving others and preserving the people and places that are the most important to them-portrayed in my own particular way and always seeking the emotion in the moment. My life’s journey has brought me from Georgia, to Montana (where I met my husband), and back to Georgia again, and that wanderlust will always be a part of me. Still, these roots run deep, forever returning me to what matters most.

It’s partly why I do what I do. You see, a few years ago, my sister (and my dearest friend) left us earthside quite unexpectedly. Healing has happened, but the ache remains. The albums I have of our many adventures together are a balm when my heart is heavy. She was born in September, the month of asters. These daisy-like flowers are named after the Greek word for “star”, a burst of color in the landscape when most other flowers start to fade.

Asters are nature’s constellations, tiny buds of stardust reminding us that that love is a constant, even in dark times. As perennials, they burst forth with new petals each year. When I spot these trails of garden stars near our house, I like to think Laura chose that exact spot to remind us of her ever-presence. My sole desire is that the photos we take envelop you and your family in an ever-blooming, enduring love that is bigger than the sky.

Ohana means family, and there is nothing in life more precious

To the mamas, the sisters, the memory keepers-please don’t wait. Don’t keep putting photos off until next month, next year, or for some grand event that may never come. I adore the engagements, the weddings, the maternity sessions, and I’m here for them all, but….

…you don’t need a special occasion to preserve what matters most.

Take the photos now. That’s how you love and never lose.

Stars may fade, but love is eternal.

Let’s frame the kind of love that is infinite and knows no distance.

Tell me about your family.

Your heart (and theirs) are safe with me.

Whenever you’re ready,

let’s book your session.
